U13's Ilkeston v Dronfield

A bruising encounter away to a much improved and physically huge Ilkeston for our U13’s this morning. Following our unbeaten start to the season Dronfield played without key forwards and utilised the squad to experiment and give experience to players in different positions.

U12's Dinnington v Dronfield

A very blustery morning at Lodge Lane, but that didn't stop some ambitious and energetic rugby. The boys started slowly, with several mistakes in the first few minutes allowing Dinnington to run in 3 unanswered tries, unopposed.

U12 Girls Dronfield v Huddersfield

The U12 girls had an epic 8 all draw hosted at Huddersfield Laund Hill RUFC today… this was the Huddersfield junior roses first match so huge thanks to them for hosting us. And thanks to Coaches Nick & Ants for the lifts and lucozade #UpTheDron

U13's Dronfield v Rotherham Phoenix

Another brilliant game of rugby this morning with our U13’s hosting Rotherham Phoenix at Gosforth Fields. Running out 45-20 victors over our visitors who had a clear size advantage and started the game on the front foot pinning Dronfield into our own 22 for the best part of 10 minutes.

U13's Matlock v Dronfield

Dronfield U13’s second NLD Cup match away at Matlock once again showed how brilliantly these boys are developing as a team under the guidance of their coaches. Running out 45-20 winners, the team stuck to the coaches battle plan of using our forwards athleticism to punch holes in Matlock’s defensive line.

U10's Dinnington v Dronfield

Dronfield under 10’s travelled to Dinnington for a rather blustery encounter! The team started brightly running against the wind in the first half. The two teams evenly matched played out a really good first half with Dronfield just shading it.

U7's Dronfield v Dinnington

Harry, Jack, Albie and Sonny were all amazing this morning, scoring loads of trys! They have learnt about passing to create space, which has helped them in attack, and they are fantastic at keeping the defensive line! All 4 of them were player of the match today!

1XV and Stags Results

WEEKEND RESULTS The 1XV finished 2023 with an important win at Glossop and a bonus point scoring on five tries but built on a superb defensive performance. The Stags lost to a physical Tupton side but showed plenty of fight throughout the match.

U10's Dronfield V Sheffield Tigers

A home game against Tigers who came to Dronfield with two full teams meaning the team had to play two tough 20 minute halves.

Under 12's

U12's Dronfield v Rotherham Phoenix

Usual service resumed after Tigers last week, with the performance of the season from the u12. A very high quality game from a well organised Roth side who were hugely physical and played a strong kicking game.

U12 Girls Round Robin Tournament

Dronfield girls U12s produced another outstanding performance on Sunday when they played in a round robin tournament against Dinnington and Sheffield Tigers.
