The U13’s put in another wonderful performance this afternoon in their first NLD Cup match away at Chesterfield Panthers. The six tries to four 30-20 victory does not reflect Dronfield’s dominance in cold and wet conditions against a well drilled Panthers. The match was played out predominantly in Chesterfield’s own 22, with Dronfield dominating the breakdown amidst good defense by our hosts. Wonderful rugby to watch if a little tense towards the end as Panthers clawed their way back with individual counter attack tries. Dronfield managed the game out to take an excellent victory with Ben earning player of the day for showing core rugby values in sportsmanship and respect for others
