Tough day at the office for our lads yesterday- there'll be some battered and bruised bodies this morning, accompanied by some smiles.
Three very big sides with plenty of fitness, fire in the belly and relentlessness proved a big test for us physically and emotionally in the rain. Very pleased to see some shape in our attack ( see below) and some huge hits going in from our boys to nullify the attack.
Our new players all had fantastic games, with Cole getting stuck in and enjoying the contact, Casper making huge dents and plenty of yards on his carries, and Jake putting in plenty of hits including a few turnovers. Our stand out player was Seth- great energy, full of fight and niggle to win key moments, and some game changing contributions. Epitomised what rugby is about: warrior on the field, and a gentleman off it. Great season opener.
