A first home game of the season for the U10s against a well prepared Chesterfield side. A tight first 15 mins saw Dronfield just ahead after some great attacking runs however a few missed tackles kept Chesterfield in the game. The second 15 saw Dronfield pull away with some great play in the rucks stealing the ball at key moments with the team again scoring great running tries. In the final 10 minutes Dronfield’s forwards took control winning the breakdown and scoring the last couple of tries to secure the win! In all one of the best performances from the team in all aspects of the game!

This weeks Player of the Match award went to Abel who showed all the hard work put in during training paying off! With some awesome work with the ball driving the team forward, he was strong and aggressive at the breakdown stealing the ball back for a try, before scoring a well deserved one of his own to cap off an excellent performance!
